The Union for Reform Judaism provides vision and leadership to Reform Jews and congregations on spiritual, ethical, social justice and management issues. It provides programmatic support to Reform Jewish congregations and offers opportunities for individual growth and identity that few congregations could provide by themselves, such as camps and Israel programs for youth, study kallot and North American and regional biennials.

Federation has been serving the Greater Philadelphia Jewish community for over 100 years.  It is uniquely integrated into both the local and global communities through our extensive committee structure and community partnerships.  Because of the depth and breadth of Federation’s community presence--its volunteer leadership, professional staff, and organizational resources--its deep understanding of local and global Jewish communities’ issues is unsurpassed, enabling it to best identify community priorities and the most viable means to impact them.

A national thought leader, STAR (Synagogues: Transformation, and Renewal) bridges the chasm between the community and the synagogue through congregational innovation and leadership development.

The Jewish Reconstructionist Federation (JRF) has been a strong voice for progressive Judaism and has played an important role in meeting the needs of the Reconstructionist movement. JRF is a leader in participatory Judaism and has helped the movement progress from its modest beginnings of four affiliated congregations in 1955 to more than 100 congregations today, representing over 16,000 member households.

Since 1988, the Jewish Outreach Institute has been a leader in the development of Jewish community-based outreach programming. Through our national conferences, publications and informational resources, JOI has helped foster the creation of scores of Jewish outreach programs from coast to coast. Our research has garnered national attention on the opportunities for including the intermarried in the Jewish community.

Synagogue 3000 is a catalyst for excellence, empowering congregations and communities to create synagogues that are sacred and vital centers of Jewish life. We seek to make synagogues compelling moral and spiritual centers – sacred communities – for the twenty-first century.
