About ACAJE/JOP |
|
One who learns in order to do, that person shall learn, teach, observe and do. Pirkei Avot Sayings of the Elders 4:5 VISION ACAJE/JOP envisions Jewish communities that nurture strong, positive Jewish identity, commitment to lifelong Jewish learning, participation in Jewish life and connection to Israel and klal yisrael (the Jewish people). Led by a collaboration of lay and professional individuals who understand their task as avodat ha-kodesh (holy work), synagogues, schools, youth groups, camps and other Jewish institutions will be dynamic centers of Jewish learning and living, able to respond to the evolving needs of Jews in their communities. MISSION The mission of ACAJE/JOP is to inspire, create, and nurture an environment in which individuals and families will engage in lifelong Jewish learning so that they will have strong foundations for their Jewish identity, their active participation in Jewish life, and their work in building dynamic Jewish institutions. ACAJE/JOP serves synagogue congregations, schools, early childhood programs, youth groups, camps and other Jewish institutions, enabling rabbis, educators, professional and lay leaders to more effectively educate, engage and inspire. Through research, consultation, collaboration, planning, evaluation, and coordination ACAJE/JOP provides: • Effective, inspiring professional training and leadership development, • Systemic support for increased institutional strength, and • Dynamic, innovative educational programming and resources. |
